We had a great weekend! Friendly staff and very good at their jobs. Place was very neat. Bathhouses were clean, showers were clean and the hot water was excellent! Owner was always available to you, and was around the camp day and night. A lot to do there during the day if you didn’t want to leave. I would definitely go back!
This was the perfect mix of camp and comfort. We did an all-girls trip two adults; two children and we had the best time. (It could be because we left the men home, and what is better than that?) Seriously, we enjoyed our stay very much, the location is a short distance to both Lake George and Bolton Landing, only 40 minutes from Saratoga Springs, we found ourselves enjoying nearby beaches and activities every day. Andrew is so thoughtful, and I really felt like he cared about our experience. We will be back!
We had 5 ladies for a 2-night girl's trip, and overall we had a good time but it wasn't perfect.
-The tent interior was cute, the beds were comfortable. The roaming bluegrass band was a highlight. Such nice people and great performance.
- It was pretty chilly at night, I wish they would have thicker comforters. (I flew for this, so bringing a blanket would have been tough.)
- The website photos make you think you won't be right next to another tent. Wrong! They pack those tents in there!
- Many tents are along the road. Seems some locals like to drive by and make excessive noise to prove how cool they are. Horns blaring as they drove by, or revving their engines. 🙄
- For a "glamping" experience, I feel like the bathrooms should have been much nicer/cleaner. They were just typical campground bathrooms, very basic. No screen door so bugs were everywhere. For the price we paid it could have been nicer.
-We wanted to do the paint and sip, but in an outside pavilion the paint would have been lumpy from the millions of bugs.
The staff tells you to only leave reviews if they are positive. I think that makes it difficult for people to find honest reviews.
Tips for anyone going: Bring bug spray. A lot. And citronella candles.
We couldn't even spend time outside until we lit the candles.
Make sure you get ice for your coolers before arriving. The little store is very expensive and $4.28 for a tiny 5 pound bag of ice was crazy.
If your tent isn't near the bathroom, it can be quite a long walk. Many people drive cars to the bathroom which of course was noisy at night.
The camp site was great! It truly was an easy comfortable camping experience. The beds were very comfortable and I’m picky. The staff were all very nice. The little store has literally every little thoughtful thing you’d need to camp and more! My favorite part was all the activities: Native American dancing, bingo, silent disco, karaoke, lazy river! I can’t wait to go back!
Over all our visit was great. The weather was not ideal and the mosquitoes were awful, but that was not anything the operators of this glamping experience can control. Our tent was great, the grounds were well maintained, the activities were fun, and for a camp ground I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the bathrooms and showers were! The staff was constantly taking care of the property in some form while we were there. My only suggestion would be to have other activities planned when it rains and tubing is closed and to make the activities slightly more affordable if your entire family wants to participate in it. We were very happy with our stay and if we decide to go glamping again, we would come back.
Had fun, but theme of the weekend was "limited". Place is more of a family place. Don't expect things to be quiet here. The road noise dies down somewhat during the night, but don't be surprised by the occasional crummy truck driving by with swiss cheese muffler or car with blaring speakers.
Specifically reserved this place because of the kayaking and tubing, then arrived and was told those features were closed with constant hemming and hawing about if it would be open or not. I know they can't control the weather, but could of at least had something on the website and a warning when you make the reservation.
Tent theme seemed to only affect pillows, blankets, and rug so I would pick tent based on location.
Indigenous dance was fun and interesting, unfortunately there were some families talking and taking phone calls during the event. Not the venues fault and kids are expected to be noisy, but the adults should know better.
Would recommend if you want to go glamping. Location is easy to get to other attractions nearby.
This was our first visit as a surprise for my mother's 70th birthday. The staff were very kind and accommodating and the facilities were excellent. Tents were very comfortable and big, bathrooms and showers were spacious and clean, common spaces were large and comfortable. We took advantage of all the activities including kayaking and floating and loved the paint and sip, karaoke, silent disco and musical performances! Really appreciated the excellent service of cleaning our tent site including taking our trash each day. We didn't venture anywhere away from the campsite, so can't say too much about the location but I will explore a bit more around the area if we come back! Made camping so easy, comfortable and fun. Would be a great place to visit in the future with my friends and kids. Thank you!
Great away experience. The kids love the silent disco party, bingo and floating down the river. Amenities were great, beds were comfy and plenty of room in the tent for the 6 of us. The owners and staff were great, very welcoming and always around if you needed them. Can't wait to go back!!
